Old, but still used, railroad bridges in the Weber River Canyon, Utah, USA. Shot with expired Fuji Superia 400 at box speed, developed in C41 hybrid process as described in BJP 1980 annual using C41 color developer (in this case Lorr LU) combined with C22 potassium ferricyanide bleach and acetic acid/sodium sulphite stop bath. Fixed in Ilford Rapid 1+4. Developed for 3:15 at 38C, (additional wash) stopped for 30 seconds at 38C, wash 2:30; C-22 bleach for 2:30 at 38C; wash running water 1:30; fix 4:20; wash 3:15. I have some color drift esp green/magenta that I can't tell if it is scanner error, or actually in the negatives. Probably pH imbalanced bleach. I had to invent a 38C process so there was some inconsistent agitation as well - plenty of room for operator error (not to mention I have a liberal interpretation of what 38C means...) Overall I think this is a good first effort in hand developed C41. Won't be everyone's cuppa, but hey, it's fun, and it's color.....
