10cc with my dad

One of the two animated movies I watched a lot as a kid was Animalympics, an animated feature on olympic games in the animal kingdom with a very nice soundtrack from 10cc’s Graham Gouldman. The bits where they played the songs were often animated in a very surreal and psychedelic way and as a kid I absolutely loved them.
My dad has been an avid concert goer for the past years and I only rarely accompany him, mostly because I think ticket prices are often a bit high for famous bands. But when he asked if I was interested in seeing 10cc with him I was quite eager to join - so many positive memories linked to Gouldman’s music. The show was pretty good. Gouldman is in his mid-70s but he still plays excellently. Quite impressive! The other band members are all a bit younger (some of them a lot) and they perform quite well together. They didn’t play their most famous song, dreadlock holiday, right until the end and when they did it felt like they played only because it’s so famous. When you have hits, you have to play them, I guess. Anyways, it was great evening, great seeing them live!
